Dining in Kauai

The taste of Kauai is the taste of freshness: fish caught this morning, vegetables plucked from the garden this afternoon, herbs still warm from the sun. Sample the local fare at a roadside stand, dine at one of the specialty restaurant and don't miss a luau-they're delicious!

Kauai Dining

Lu'au
Go outside the dining room to experience a lu'au, a traditional Hawaiian feast. Learn about Hawaiian and Polynesian culture while feasting on a magnificent spread of traditional Hawaiian food, including kalua pig (pork cooked in an underground oven), laulau (pork and fish steamd in taro and ti leaves) and poi (Hawaiian staple made of taro). Hear Hawaiian music and chants while watching hula dancers tell stories of Hawaii with their elegant and graceful movements. Kauai was the site of the most prestigious hula school in all of the Islands and people would travel from all of Hawaii to Kauai to learn hula. You may even get a chance to dance the hula in front of your entire lu'au!
