Maui - Water Activities
Onshore and off, the water of Maui, Molokai and Lanai are inviting and rewarding, scenic and filled with adventure. Whether you prefer a beachside hammock, a dinner cruise or high-speed windsurfing, there's plenty of pleasure to be taken along the shore.
Beaches
Maui, Molokai and Lanai have some of the best beaches in the world, with over 255 miles of inviting coastline surrounding the Islands. Many beaches have beach parks, picnic areas and restrooms, making your excursion even more convenient. Catch a wave at Maui's DT Fleming Beach Park. On East Maui, you'll get the unique experience of exploring one of Hawaii's black sand beaches.
Kayaking
Maui, Molokai and Lanai take on a wholw new look when seen from the ocean. Kayaking is a great way to catch some rays while getting some exercise. Paddlers enjoy the south coast waters of Kihei, Makena and Keoneo'io or La Perouse Bay. Kayaking can be a fun activity for almost anyone. Lessons are readily available for beginners.
Cruising and Sailing
One of the best ways to see Maui, Molokai and Lanai is from the water. Island tour operators offer a variety of cruises: lunch, snorkel, family fun, sunset, dinner/dance, cultural cruises and whale/dolphin excursions. From December through May, whale watching boats allow you to see these wonderful creatures. You can also parasail or Jet Ski for an offshore view of Maui's coastline.
